Album Review

Cam'ron's sophomore full length, S.D.E. (Sports, Drugs and Entertainment), is packed with guest star appearances and stories of urban ills and his life as a former basketball player. Cam'ron receives help from friends like Destiny's Child, Old Dirty Bastard, and producer, Prodigy. Following in their foot steps, Cam'ron raps about common topics over catchy loops and hooks. Often, S.D.E mirrors rap, when it was more reflective than intense, but quickly sinks back into the modern day ordinary. With S.D.E. there is some obvious potential in the long run for this rapper. However, for now he is ideal for those that find themselves content with the down state of rap at the time of this album's release.

this is a classic rap album. cam was a never a hugely mainstream artist, but has definetly achieved success as a rapper. the diplomats are one of the most followed rappers nowadays. their fans are real and true; not just a bunch of idiots listening to what mtv and bet say is 'hot'. cam and the diplomats are good cuz they don't make music for the pop-charts, they make music ofr the fans and for the love of music. in S.D.E. you can really see how cam pours his emotions and soul into his music. he his best friend and cousin (bloodshed from C.O.C.) and his other friend ma$e moved away. living harlem is tuff and it comes thru hard on this album. overall it is a sick album, kinda old now but still mad good ps. david u don't know anything: HATER!! hahahahh!

this is old cam...if he could spit like this still people would take him seriously. this is one hard album...especially # 11, and # 17.
