Amazing guitar - and Jazz Fest is his A game

I saw John Mooney in 1997 and it was the most amazing live performance of guitar playing I have ever seen. People were crawling on the stage to see his hands and what he was doing. Power blues at their best. I was just listening to a recording of him playing Shortnin' Bread in Germany on Travelin' On and spotted this album on iTunes. His studio recordings are pretty tame. But live .. this is a performance I kick myself for missing.
