their first cd

ok for all those ppl that say it doesnt match the quality of comatose - this was their first cd. and the only person that recored on this cd that is still with the band is John. skillet has been playing together now for 12 years, of corse their new stuff is going to sound better than the first cd which came out in 1996. even though it may not match the quality of their newest work this cd is still worth owning if you are a true Panhead!

This album has the best cover ever. And the songs great too.

straightforward rock

i can is one of the best songs ever made, everyone should have that on their mp3 players. i've been a huge fan of these guys ever since this cd first came out. i saw them in concert at tiny venues in their early days, which was good for me then, because now they'll never come to little towns where i live ever again. the bottom line is don't rip on this cd if you just jumped on the skillet bandwagon, give it a chance. a lot of us have been pan heads from the start, not because of the awesome comatose cd. listen to this cd a few times i guarantee it will grow on you and become one of your favorites. actually i remember being upset when skillet went away from their grundge sound and started going more techno. i was so happy when collide came out, it's reminiscent of this cd. collide is skillets best work, followed by their first cd, then comatose.
