An Exciting recording of a very intense opera.

Unequaled. "Booring"? This is one of the great studio recordings of the sixties, and is very exciting.

This is my first Strauss opera.

Although i would have enjoyed just a little less distortion in the loud parts, this was a fantastic opera. I thought that Nilsson was in her prime. As she said, Turandot made me famous. Salome made me rich. Or, is it the other way around??? Whatever. the main thing is, i really like this, and i hope to get more recordings soon. PS. Oh, and Skittles, don't review something that you don't like, just cause ou don't listen to it. I really hate it when people put down pieces that other people love, just to get a rise. KNOCK IT OFF2

Powerful & Decadent

The best recording available on iTunes. Fantastic performance by Nilsson.
