About Sam Roberts & the Levites Assembly

Founded in 2012, Washington, D.C. area gospel group Sam Roberts & the Levites Assembly are led by choir director, songwriter, and vocalist Sam Roberts, who draws upon the talents of over a dozen vocalists and musicians to bring his contemporary spiritual music to life. The group performed frequently at choir competitions around the East Coast and beyond, gaining recognition for Roberts' original compositions as well as the talents of the group members. In August 2017, Sam Roberts & the Levites Assembly released their self-titled debut album, following the leadoff single, "Reap Now," which teased the album's release weeks earlier. The album featured a host of guests, including appearances by vocalists April Hall, Serena Young, and George Huff as well as a spot from songwriter/producer Travis Malloy.
