iTunes Review

The country Christmas album has become an inevitability for every new Nashville star, despite the difficulty in breaking new ground in the holiday music arena. Brad Paisley Christmas is refreshing because it keeps the schmaltz to a minimum. The cover image — a shiny Fender Telecaster wrapped in a string of lights — is the perfect representation for the music within, which alights with the chromed-out sounds of Mike Johnson’s guitar and Randle Currie’s pedal steel. In addition to several stellar takes on holiday standards (and a blazing version of Buck Owens’ “Santa Looked a Lot Like Daddy”), Paisley actually manages to bring something new to the table with a handful of originals. “Penguin, James Penguin” invents an amusing new character for the holiday, while “364 Days To Go” takes an unusual angle on the Christmas song by avoiding the anticipation of the holiday season, and instead conjuring the post-Christmas glow. Where most singers are content to run through the motions, you have to respect Paisley’s determination to add something of his own to the tradition.

Love This Album!

Instead of buying some hip-hop CD and just hearing those retards in Hollywood spout off about how Christmas should be more "Politically Correct", my cousin got me this for my birthday. My cousin knows me well. lol I love it. It's the imbodiment of how Chirstmas Used to be, a time of goodwill and cheer, not, "Give me my damn Presents!" and then forget the holiday as if it were just an ordinary day. Brad helps us to remember what the holiday is about, and you gotta hand it to the guy for doing so. Plus, the Kung Pao Buckaroo Holiday was hilarious. And very, very true. Thanks Brad!

A gReAt AlBuM!!

This is a great Christmas album. I especially like "Born on Christmas Day" Brad could even sing as a kid! Buy!

I LOVE this album!!

It is definately my favorite Christmas album, I was so sad last year when Christmas day rolled around because I could no longer listen to this album! "364 Days To Go" was how I was feeling about hearing this album again. Good stuff, I definately would recommend this album to anyone who likes Brad Paisley.

Arguably the preeminent male country artist to emerge in the 2000s, Brad Paisley cannily blended the past with the present, paying constant tribute to his forefathers — when he reached the top of the charts, he still found space for Little Jimmy Dickens and George Jones in his videos — but pushing the music forward into the new millennium, expanding its sonic and thematic possibilities. This sense of adventure could be heard on 2009's American Saturday Night, a big-hearted and eclectic...
