The only tracks I downloaded were "Malek," "Masha'al" and "The Moon Glowed," this was partly because I found these tracks more enjoyable to listen to since they are sung in a slang Palestinian dialect. "Malek" has these primitive but beautiful lyrics, reminiscent of pure Palestinian folklore. Banna and her band, here have managed to manipulate the song with just the right amount of vocal and musical manipulation to present the track in the best manner possible. I never heard a smooth electric guitar sound so in harmony within an Arabic song! "Masha'al," evokes almost pagan, cannite connotations in its dialect and music, yet it so well crafted that it sounds wonderful even to those who don't speak Arabic. "The Moon Glowed," is another phenomenal track. I could have sworn that I have heard Palestinian women recite the words to this song at traditional weddings, Banna embodies this experience while presenting the track in a refreshing and pop like manner too. Sensational!

this is the mirror of everyone's good job..I look forward for new albums..

'Grandma' really rocks....

her sharp, phonetic (trilling?) singing style cuts almost like a knife, striking well into your...soul. She is amazing. This is just the right balance of 'new' Middle Eastern music walking the fine line between traditional and being too westernized. It is sad and shamefull that their one neighbouring country and ourselves treat theirs as we treated the Native Americans 400 years ago....Anyway her music is amazing. I also like Azam Ali.
