Album Review

Cacophony guitarist Marty Friedman unleashes his virtuosic six-string fury on the excellent Dragon's Kiss, which may be the most definitive sampling of Friedman's talents available. Spiking his supersaturated heavy metal sensibilities with texture, imagination, and a flair for the exotic, Friedman proves to be a distinctive modern metal soloist. This all-instrumental offering marks the end of Friedman's more indulgent, progressive solo artist phase, as he was recruited to join Megadeth's ranks shortly after its release.

Where It All Began...

This is one of the first great shred albums ever. Marty Friedman and his buddy Jason Becker are the original shred dream team. This album is one of many great albums by this axeman. I'm glad Itunes is getting this stuff finally. Now all they need is Racer X

Marty has influanced all of guitar guys and gals

Marty can improvise some of the most beautiful melodies and licks. His music is amazing!

Wow!

This album is outstanding! The strength of the album is not the guitar solos which are terrific. Instead, the album stands out due to compositions which are tight, interesting, unique, and at times really beautiful. I bought plenty of shredder albums in the 80s and this one is the best.
