Great New EP From The Lovemakers

I wasn't sure what to expect from this new album because all of their previous work has been awesome. But, this really got rid of any doubts I had. I love every song on it. Plus, you can tell they really want to please their customers; it comes with music videos for each song! I also went and checked out their new label, Fuzz Artists. It has a great mentality focused on helping the bands and artists succeed. (No wonder they left Interscope.) All Lovemakers fans will be stoked by this new album and it should definitely be explored by those who haven't heard the Lovemakers yet as well.

Darker, Better, Funner

The new Lovemakers Ep is darker then their last record. "Save Me" is a great rock ballad, and it really explains why The Lovemakers switched from a major label to an independent label. "Whine & Dine" is another great dance track like "Shake That A**". Lisa Light really shines on "Misery Loves Company", it's my favorite on the record. "Naturally Lonely" reminds me of those great 80's ballads. "We Already Said Goodbye" is hit, and the sound of alternative today. It's a fun EP and a step up from the last release. The Lovemakers are one of those great fun bands.

Sadly Mediocre

Scattered and lacking energy. The only bright spot is "We Already Said Goodbye." Still like them though.

Lisa Light and Scott Blonde met in Oakland, CA, in 2002 via Blonde's manager, whom Light was dating. Light ditched the manager for Blonde and joined his band, Applesaucer, before the year was out. The chemistry between the two was evidently too much for the band to handle, however, and the two...
