sonic wizardry

paul durham. to many the name means nothing. to those in the know, anything following is genius. this is paul's latest effort and upon first listen, it has me placing it above see the sun, which to many, will be hard to believe. this album shines like a star. the amalgamation paul and andy bring to fruition is second to none. this record packs the epic black lab gems that fans have loved for years. the heart-wrenching lyrics, the lush sonic beauties, hidden in paul's fragile, yet bolstering tenor. this album belongs in every person who has ever been in love's library.

this is the album that plays in your head as you think back to loving someone that you are no longer with. only paul can evoke such bittersweet nostalgia in a fashion unable to be marketed, if only for its priceless price. to recommend this is to blaspheme paul and the lab. i must BEG you all to purchase this. put on your dre beats and light and candle and listen to paul take you through the universe of a broken-hearted coquette. you will be glad and thank me, trust me.

Great music, really.

I have been looking forward to this album for a while. This album doesn't disappoint at all. I wonder where this will land within my favorite Black Lab / Paul Durham experiments. I just hope that they come to Vegas in support of this album.
