heartache at the dance club...

Listen to this driving and bop along to the catchy riffs, but here's a warning. One of these days a line or two is going to grab your brain and you will realize, that Allison Weiss writes the saddest, realest songs in the world. There is seriously something special about the honesty of her lyrics that transcends even her own music. And this one has glorious production to add another layer to it's seemingly simple disguise. Don't be fooled. Keep a kleenex handy.

Familiar, but still great.

I love Allison Weiss. Live or on record, it's always great. I was super excited to get this from iTunes a day early due to my pre-order. Problem is if you're a huge fan of Weiss, you already have bought a few of these songs, and as far as I can tell, they are the same versions. And many of the other songs were already leaked to many music sites. So there is little I haven't heard here. But it's nice to have it nicely packaged. And if you are just getting into Allison Weiss, this is a great way to go. Personally, my favourite album is "The Teenage Years", and you can get it on her website. Also, pick up "...Was Right All Along" here on iTunes. It's a more acoustic sound, but VERY catchy!
