I'm sick of hearing you repeatedly "say what you need to say."

This song is very annoying. Listening to John Mayer sing "say what you need to say" eight times each refrain and then twenty-four more times at the end is forty times too many. You don't need to "say what you need to say" that many times, John Mayer....not your best work of creativity.

One of John's finest!

I've been waiting to get this song since Friday when John posted it on his blog. It was written for the upcoming movie "The Bucket List," starring Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. Everything about it is exceptional, in true John fashion. The orchestration is expertly executed and we once again get a taste of John's emotional side with the lyrics. The message, "say what you need to say," is too true and something many people, including myself, must remember to take to heart. It's an empowering song, and I can't wait to see how it fits into the movie. This single is a must for all Mayer fans.

just ok

I am a huge John Mayer fan, but this song is too repetitive and generic for me to praise as compared to his other stuff.

Arriving during the tail end of teen pop's heyday, he crafted pop music for a more discerning audience, spiking his songcraft with jazz chords and literate turns of phrase. The combination proved to be quite popular, as Room for Squares went triple platinum...
