ITS FINALLY HERE!!!!! YAY!! I LOVE THIS MOVIE AND IT HAS A CLASSIC SOUNDTRACK!! IM SO PSYCHED!!!!BUY IT NOW!!

School of Rock Soundtrack: A-

Lunchbox Steve

One of the best film soundtracks of the decade, possibly ever. It not only has songs that define the meaning of classic rock (Immigrant Song, Touch Me, Substitute), but also has good cuts from the Black Keys, and No Vacancy. Not to mention hilarious Jack Black Dialouge. I don't see why all the songs are album only on itunes though... you can find all of them, (Except dialouge, and School of Rock performances) on iTunes... so yeeeeah. But this album is worth a listen!

Grade: A-
Essential Tracks: Touch Me, Set You Free, Sunshine of Your Love

Rocks As Hard As The Movie

scififanatic

This was one of Jack Black's funniest movies and it was fun for Tenacious D fans to see Jack singing and playing again.

The album features some pretty sweet songs from the movie: "School of Rock" and the band's cover of AC/DC's "It's A Long Way to the Top." Also included are two songs from the fictional band No Vacancy (the tender, emotional "Heal Me, I'm Heartsick" and the slightly stereotypical, yet hard-rocking "Fight").

And of course, the bulk of the album is made up of the many relevent bands and songs that inspired the movie. All of this for $7.99. This is a deal you don't want to pass on by!
