Customer Reviews

Better than expected.

Shaham and Sollscher had a hit with their Paganini album, which was stellar. When I saw that they had an album of Schubert transcriptions I had my doubts but they where unfounded. The arrangments do give the works a lighter treatment but for some reason it fits. The affection they have for the music is obvious and they sense of chamber music reminds me of the earlier Perlman/Zuckerman efforts, lots of charm, lots of music making. No quams recomending this one.
