great record

this is a great album. great sonic landscape of layered guitars and fat distortion, and rich beautiful vocals. its not a cereberal album, nor do they have stellar musicianship, but it has a very pleasing and emotional feel, and i really like it. the album also has very good flow, and i like this garage meets studio sound. its like the pixies or the breeders but more mainstream. its a cool sounding record.

A Nice Surprise

This album is great! It will take you back to your highschool years and demand you to rock out! Each time iTunes surprises me with a Veruca Salst song I remember a place in my life.

"All Hail Me" may be one of my most favorites on the album, but "Forsythia", "Celebrate You" and of course their "Seether" for which they were most remembered is on this album.

If you are not familiar with Veruca Salt this album really signifies all they wanted to do and stand for. It's timeless.

Ah the 90's ...

You remember the 90's don't you? The music was fresh, relevant and had legs to stand on. Fast forward to today, this CD remains a remarkable accomplishment simply for the fact that it is straight-forward, unpretentious alternative rock. It's at once dissonant and melodic, and highly listenable. Although over a decade old, "American Thighs" is a CD I still recommend to my friends todays.
