brilliant, and every othe positive compliment there is.

what can we say? there is no need to state how good the frames are live, its been done and agreed with wholeheartedly. but there is something so raw and passionate in glen hansard's voice, something so truly, real, that you cannot help but listen more, and capture some yourself. listen to this song as an album, and you can truly understand the way the frames captivate and audience, but if you choose individual songs, fitzcarraldo is not only a classic, but truly, truly beautiful. the violining in that song is positively stunning. a few other notables include, what happens when the heart just stops, lay me down, stars are underground, perfect opening line, and for a real rock anthem, relevate.

all of these songs are truly excellent, excellent music.

This is among the best live rock albums ever! If you are not familiar with the band, it's a great place to start. You can feel the bond between the band and the hometown crowd but it's open to anyone who wants in. Fantastic set of songs here. No need to cherry pick, grab the complete album and let it grow.

iconic live album

was actually given this album at a restaurant by my waiter, with whom we struck up a conversation about music. I’m very thankful for this chance conversation that led me to one of the greatest live albums I’ve ever heard, from any genre. The first track absolutely blew me away with its palpable energy, and the rest of the album is likewise amazing. If you at all like The Frames and/or Glen’s broader work, you’ve GOT to buy this.
