Another great song from The Choir

How do you review a song from a band that can do no wrong? This new single was a bit of a surprise. Recorded in one day for a select few that supported The Choir in making their latest masterpiece "The Loudest Sound Ever Heard", I didn't know this was going to be released to the general public, but so glad they did. It's a wonderful song that fits right in with the rest of the songs from "The Loudest Sound Ever Heard". Thanks Derri, Steve, Dan & Tim for continuing to make great music after all these years!

Thoughtful single by a band that gets better with age!

Having just release their latest album "The Loudest Sound Ever Heard" this surprise single caught the fanbase off guard. This is not a B-side or B-material in the least. The instrumentation is adventurous. Derri's guitar gets crunchified and Dan Michaels adds another whole dimension to the song with his lyricon. The lyrics are a thoughful reflection on atrocities performed in the name of Christ. It is also a call to action, to not be on the wrong side of history. You've got to respect such ambition from a band that refises to coast on past glories.

The Shadow of the Cross

Great lyrics- love the word pictures. Melody and arrangement are very nice- complimenting the lyric. Instrumentation is very creative and artsy but not my personal favorite (since I am partial to acoustic, roots, etc.) That being said, it is very well done! Thanks guys.
