Experimental album that finds its place

I met Mark Spybey at the Download show for Furnace at Jimmy's in New Orleans in 2006. It was a humid night and the turnout was in the 20+ people range. He was an easily approachable gentleman and happy to have someone inquire about the band and not focus solely on skinny puppy. Beyond singing, he was running multiple film loops over the set creating exotically bright green, red and blue images that were interwoven to bring to life the furnace album cover. I was more than impressed but unable to convey my level of appreciation. Then

Now. After having listened to it for years, I understand it is a very experimental, situational or experiential album. By that, I mean it has it's time and place; film production, Halloween, background mind clearing or art show. (I apologize for saying Halloween but it has been my go to album for years.)These are the places I've listened to this album repeatedly. It's not an album meant for every space, but when you find it in its element it shines.
