If you had fun grooving to the music while playing...

Then you will of course adore the soundtrack on its own. This is probably the best soundtrack to come out of the video game space last year, and it's easily one of my favorite techno albums. You won't regret this one if you're into techno music that you can zone out to while listening. Makes any task interesting just by nature of being on in the background. That's one of my key metrics for good instrumental albums.

LOVE this soundtrack

I am a long time fan of both video game music, as well as this kind of electronica and I can't get enough! Even if you get the game AND the soundtrack, you are under 20 bucks...incredible value for what you get.

Hope we see more from these guys!

The best part of the game

Shatter is an awesome game, but the thing I like most about it is that it introduced me to this music. There's music that's good for games, and then there's just plain good music. While the catchy music from, say, Mario, perfectly suits the lighthearted games it comes from, it doesn't stand on its own to simply listen to. Game music, like movie music, has a context it's meant for. However Module's outstanding Shatter soundtrack is among the few game soundtracks that excels so highly it escapes that context. It's soulful electronica at its best. The guitar work and moving chords make it more engaging than even some of Daft Punk's stuff, and I used to think they were uncontested at that sort of sound!
