Album Review

This is the second EP from the Seattle-born singer/songwriter and poet Mary Lambert, who is best known for her collaboration with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis on the charting gay rights-themed single "Same Love." Bookended by "Body Love" — two primarily spoken word tracks — Welcome to the Age of My Body also includes forays into country pop and R&B.

Customer Reviews

Too few tracks!

I'm glad "Sarasavati" is finally out, but these four track things are getting a little disappointing! When are you going to release "Epidemic," "Red Lipstick", "Born Sad" and all your other cool stuff including your super new song (the edited version of "I'll Be Your Wife"!) The world needs more music from you Mary, release an album!

The most holy wow

Like everything Mary Lambert touches, this EP glitters with confidence, beauty, talent, and love. Once again, Bodylove never fails to make me cry; ditto with She Keeps Me Warm (the real queer anthem of 2013). While more tracks would be appreciated, I get that recording and mixing is an expensive and time-consuming process, and am appreciative of any slice of Mary Lambert.

Every Second is Amazing

This highly anticipated EP is incredible. Lambert's voice is silky and the lyrics are powerful. Beautiful.

Born and raised in Seattle, Lambert graduated from the Cornish College of the Arts with a Bachelor of Music degree in music composition, but even with one symphony piece for the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra on the books, she decided her future was in pop music...
