Best Straight-Ahead Jazz Album of All Time-and, Concierto w/ Jim Hall

OK, there. I said it. When anyone wants to know what 'jazz' is . . . I become vulnerable and give them these CD's. Not fusion. Not neo-classical. Not improvisational.
Just unadulterated jazz with the best of the best... Desmond, Baker, Gadd, and on and on. Can't fail w/ this CD. Enjoy. So blessed by ALL our fantastic musicians.
Thank God for each and every one of them. Sweetness!

Diverse excellent tracks make this a solid album from the vocals of What I'll Do and She Was Too Good to Me to the instrumentals Funk In Deep Freeze and Tangerine. If you don't already have these songs in your collection, then definitely get it. Highly recommended!
