iTunes Review

We know that Little Richard helped shape rock ’n’ roll into everything it is today, but sometimes we find that fact difficult to contemplate. After all, it's hard to think about anything at all when we're busy wearing a hole in the carpet to the sound of vintage, rip-roaring cuts like "Tutti Frutti," "Slippin' and Slidin'," and "Rip It Up." The raw energy of his raspy howl and his way with the 88s are utterly electrifying—and just as irresistible today as they were more than half a century ago.

Here is Little Richard

This is vintage stuff. If I'm not mistaken it's Mr Penniman's first album.
Certainly it's his first for Speciality Records. It's raw! The rough edges are still intact. No strings, no doo-da-whas, Just screaming, shouting, and piano pounding at it's

The Georgia Peach is ripe and coming in loud and clear on my '57 Chevy.

Good GOD!

Time to bop!

It's time for rock&roll guys with some dancing 🎵🎵

One of the original rock & roll greats, Little Richard merged the fire of gospel with New Orleans R&B, pounding the piano and wailing with gleeful abandon. While numerous other R&B greats of the early '50s had been moving in a similar direction, none of them matched the sheer electricity of Richard's vocals. With his bullet-speed deliveries, ecstatic trills, and the overjoyed force of personality in his singing, he was crucial in upping the voltage from high-powered R&B into the similar, yet different,...
