Editors’ Notes

Cyndi Lauper is a mad scientist of pop on her debut album, splicing New Wave synths with rock guitars and experimenting with wildly contrasting moods. Look beyond the Caribbean-tinged, irresistibly kooky "Girls Just Want to Have Fun," and she shows off her emotional depth (and unerring melodies) on "Money Changes Everything" and "When You Were Mine." The softly wounded "Time After Time" reveals her tender side in a particularly beautiful manner.

Customer Reviews

I had the opportunity to hear the entire full length Anniversary Album at a private listening party, it was an awesome experience...
Cyndi is pure Brilliant and Raw to the Core! I truly Love the rough cuts most, remixes, the new & old and the makings of's.
There's true honesty, down and dirty grit on this album; what I honestly admire most are the old recording, what a joy to hear yesteryear's riff raff of the 80's era.
This is a real gift from Cyndi I believe it was all made from blood, sweat, tears and a whole lot of LLOVE!!
We'll be back celebrating "She's So Unusual" in another 30 years!!
Enjoy !!

Time After Time is Wonderful as a Dance Anthem

Time After Time defines my high school experience. Love the dance remix by Nervo.

Cyndi Lauper was one of the biggest stars of the early MTV era, selling five-million copies of her debut album, She's So Unusual, as well as scoring a string of four Top Ten hits from the record, including the major hits "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" and "Time After Time." Lauper's thin, girlish voice and gleefully ragtag appearance became one of the most distinctive images of the early '80s, which helped lead her not only to the top of the charts, but also to stardom. Throughout America, there were...
