What is wack is the reviews; get your history straight

It is so amazing to look over these reviews. The Diplomats (the rap group) have nothing to do (thankfully) with the ORIGINAL Diplomats who were a 60-70s soul group who later turned into the Skull Snaps (who are one of the most sampled bands in hip hop history). She's The One and Sure as the Stars Shine are some of the finest examples of the Northern Soul that came out of the US. Before calling this stuff wack, get your history straight and do a litttle research as this soul is what later spawned the inspiration and samples for the post modern hip hop that you listen to now. It is refreshing to see a label that puts out some great new indy music also look back to the roots and re-issue it for posterity. Cribbed from the Soul Line site: Originally from Washington, D.C., the Diplomats migrated to New York and funked out of their signature down tempo Northern Soul to cut their last Diplomats record and their first funk record "She's The One" before disbanding. "She's The One" marks the group's point of departure from their signature soul ballads to the grittier uptempo flavor of early 1970s New York funk. This New York funk fever soon after tunred into the Diplomats' New York funk incarnation, THE SKULL SNAPS. She's The One is an extremely complex jam of Northern Soul vocal harmony laid over early 1970s New York funk.
