Album Review

Homebelly Groove Live follows up The Doctors' left field success with the album Pocket Full of Kryptonite and its single "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong." The disc re-releases (in remixed form) tracks from their now out-of-print 1990 EP Up For Grabs...Live, adding live renditions, and four previously unreleased numbers. Highlights include a lengthy but inspired segue of "What Time Is It? / Off My Line" and a relentlessly propulsive "Refrigerator Car."

awesome

totally awesome. definitely buy this. this is the spin doctors at their best: live, rocking, jamming out from before they hit the pop charts.

Ought to be their best seller...

Definitely an overlooked album that shouldn't be. Tight, tight, tight. I love 1-guitar bands that can hold it together. Schenkman is an animal. Treat yourself and pick this up, or at the very least, buy "Shinbone Alley" for your collection....

For What Time Is It? and Freeway of the plains!

Two ausem live songs ''Medley: What Time Is It?/ Off My Line'' and ''Medley: Freeway of the Plains/ Lady Kerosne.''

"Little Miss Can't Be Wrong" and "Two Princes" were cleverly written singles, full of clean, blues-inflected licks and ingratiating pop melodies. Pocket Full of Kryptonite had been around for nearly a year when MTV and radio began playing "Little Miss...
