The Band to Watch!

Ambertone has succeeded with "Shifting Stars & Disregards" in creating a record full of singles as a cohesive body of work in their debut. Starting with the opener "Gravity", which is reminiscent of Foo Fighters early work, you drop right into the powerful riffs of "My Disaster", and it continues on for the full 40 minutes with great sounding, well written songs. Singer Greg Pontoni has one of those voices that instantly pulls you in and combined with the fact that he played almost all the guitar parts, it leads one to think of the talents of great instrument playing frontmen like Dave Grohl and Chris Cornell. Drummer Ian Budha also makes a statement behind the kit by laying down a solid groove for bassist Rick Dotchin, while also playing some blistering double kick parts which helps create the bands identity. This record is made for rock radio with guest appearances by Hugo Ferreira of Tantric and Thomas Juliano of 7M3 on "Shine Through". My only question came upon reading the track listing. I thought it was an odd choice to include an acoustic version of "The Angels" which already appears as a full rock song on the record. After making it to the end, and listening to the track, it is a magnificently crafted alternate version which seems to only draw from the lyrics of the earlier track. Ambertone are the new kids on the block, and they don't dance or lipsync… THEY ROCK!!! Rock Fan 2008

Great undiscovered band!

I saw them as an opening band they were better then the main act! They are great guys and this is a GREAT CD. I recommend it to anyone who likes Shinedown, Daughtry and that sort of light alternative. Worth every panny.

Love! Love! Love!

Great music!
