Kitaro, Escape the day, set the mood

Enjoy as background music, or take along to play during yuga or your next Massage. You will love his music, you might enjoy you life much better. BB

Contemporary trip to ancient japan

I love this album. It transports me to long trips on the dirt roads of ancient Japan. But it's mixed with just enough futuristic sounds and accents to make it perfectly balanced. Old sounds + futuristic sounds = contemporary. Kitaro is a true maestro.


I love playing this album as the background music while I study. Track#7 is my favorite:)

Kitaro's style is the epitome of the contemplative, highly melodic synthesizer music often associated with the new-age movement. Interestingly enough, this famous Japanese composer taught himself to play electric guitar in high school -- inspired by the R&B music of Otis Redding. In the early '70s, Kitaro formed the Far East Family Band, which released two albums of progressive rock. In 1972, however, he met the innovative German synthesist Klaus Schulze during a trip to Europe. Kitaro was hooked....
