A rare find: one of the great ambient albums

For anyone that listens to XM Chill and/or a large variety of ambient and electronica-style music, this album is for you, and I mean the ENTIRE album. Every track is solid but a little different than the last, carrying on a slick, smooth theme with clever variations from track to track. Candlelight, Crew Cut, and the two Texas songs are the most noteworthy, but only slightly more so than the rest. Worth a try - enjoy.

Perfectly Mellow

This is the perfect album as a background for studying or reading. The best songs in my opinion are the first four... #2 and 3 especially have a creepy vibe.

iTunes Urchin quality is perfectly fine

The reviewer above that suggests that the iTunes version is somehow flawed doesn't fully appreciate Urchin. There's nothing wrong with their rip - Urchin uses gain overloads and synthetic scratches intentionally to create a "phonograph"-like ambiance and highly textured sound. It's brilliant. You can find similar techniques in Cujo, Boards of Canada, and Leftfield. Bottom line - this is a great CD, ahead of the curve for its time and still one of my all-time favorites, and the iTunes rip is 100% accurate.

Countless musicians passed...
