Ozzy Rules

This isn't Ozzy's best record but when it came out it was one of the best albums of that time. Jake E. Lee plays some awesome guitar on this. Definately worth a listen. Ozzy is a mad man!

This album was huge then and still fresh now

Saw some negative ratings on this. Maybe you needed to have been around when this album was released to realize how frikin' HOT Jake E. Lee's guitar playing sounded.
He was the guy to beat after this for awhile. You have to realize that 1985-86 was the time of technical guitar playing, and maybe the peak of metal guitar playing for most of the big bands. This album proved again that Ozzy was a preeminent modern metal act amid a whole slew of incredible bands of the time.
This album really sounded different than everything else that year, even though it was still the same ole Ozzy.
It sounded big and full with lots of reverb and explosions. It really maxed out the car stereos of the day.
