ITunes is wrong - amazing, classic album

I respect the reviewer's view and agree that the album is far less commercially accessible than later albums. I disagree that the album isn't a classic, however. Pornography defines the Cure in all their cool mopiness. The haunting wail of the guitars, the pounding steady backbeat, the heavy and effective use of effects - all combined with Smith's definitive vocals give the listener a powerful tour of The Cure before they achieved significant success stateside.

One of the Best

When I look back to the 80's this album definitely comes to mind. We called this style "cold wave" back in the 80s. Dark and brooding --just like my mood was back then in highschool.

Evil Genius

Dark, dreary, and bleak. By far an epic in music and in the history of the cure. This is my second favorite cure album, right after disintegration. An essential for any cure fan.
