Perfect for this film

Amazing how well this score enhances the film - looks like Johannsson worked with Director Denis Villeneuve prior to Sicario, and we should all be thrilled they decided to work together again! I am no music expert, so this could be phrased much more eloquently by someone who knows the jargon, but the build of percussion and other instruments is variously ominous, terrifying, and deeply sad. The massive climax in ‘The Beast’ is extraordinary in the cinema, but my favorite might be ‘Soccer Game’ (especially knowing the scene after seeing the film). The filmmakers and Johannsson did a tremendous job weaving the score into the visuals; there is a moment with Emily Blunt’s character at the bar where the music of the bar fades to the beginning of the ominous score as she zones out - subtle, beautiful editing. Great score!

Chilling, Moving, Thrilling

This soundtrack truly captures the essence of the movie in musical form. The movie is awesome, but this soundtrack put the movie above and beyond.

This is a score that sets the bar high for scores to follow. Seriously, this is up there with John Williams and Alan Silvestri. When you see the movie, you'll probably understand how impactful this music is. Bought it before I left the theater parking lot!
