Customer Reviews

i love these girls and their soothing ambient sounds

Regardless of inspiration and musical pasts, this group shatters ideas of composition so eloquently that you have no other choice but to absorb their sounds. Inhale, relax, listen, and be. Thank you for the music Amiina.

Beautiful and Distinct

As a huge fan of Sigur Ros and of the Icelandic Indie genre in general, I was more than delighted when I discovered that the band's string quartet (now a sextet), Amiina, had branched out and made a name for themselves. Their sound is every bit as whimiscal and lovely as you'd imagine of the strings behind Sigur Ros' powerful melodies. Although Amiina isn't as heavy as the progressive rock band, their music is still charmingly captivating with a distinctly Icelandic presence. I highly recommend this album to anyone who likes Sigur Ros, Mum, and other bands of this kind. Amiina is special, and their character shines through in their music.

Take me home.

I am in deviant love with this band.
