SUCH an incredible recording of an IRRESISTIBLE show!

So glad that they finally recorded this truly magnificent score: one of the greatest parody musicals of all time, and definitely one of the most perfect. For those who haven't already seen the show, this recording is a great representation of the score's current state. It has been changed ever so slightly since the album was recorded (since the show's now playing an open ended run and now only one act). The only major difference between this recording and the current show is (aside from a few lyric changes here and there) the song "In the Dark With a Maniac", which (upon the show's reopening) now has a faster, more lively tempo, and the addition of the chorus. However, the score (minus some of the small inter-dialogue reprises) is largely intact, and for that, I'm thankful enough.

Not for the easily offended...

However... if you have ANY interest in a musical based on 'Silence of the Lambs,' you wouldn't be easily offended.
This album is great! Having seen the show this past summer, and being blown away by how brilliant it is, I could not wait to get this album.
The show recently moved to a new, permanant loaction. Go see it!! If NY is not convenient to you, this is the next best thing!

Nearly ruptured

I was fortunate to catch this show at the Sullivan Street run. I probably spent about 55% of every moment inside laughing so much that it almost became uncomfortable. Obviously not for the easily offended, and if you are fortunate enough to catch the show now that it is off broadway, instead of off off off, the front row center might not be the most ideal seat. Or might be? Depends on preferences.
