Customer Reviews

Christian Classic.

This is another long awaited Christian rock classic. This is the first album of Rez that I ever came across. I loved the raspy vocals, great lyrics and just overall sound. Not too hard, but not slow or soft. Someone Sleeps - Is the song that hooked me first. You Get What You Choose - Has a great line near the end: "Nothing is worth being a self-centered liar, and sometimes that's me and you, but for everyone involved, we got to change so that the world can know he is the truth." Still resonates. You Got Me Rocking - Just like It.

Where Are The Earlier Albums?

Where are the first three albums - "Awaiting Your Reply", "Rainbow's End", and "Colours"? These three albums were the foundation of CCM Rock / Blues for years. The first two albums had a Led Zepplin feel to them, while the "Colours" album, which I bought out of the box the first day it was delivered to the local record store in Southern California, was more like the band Foreigner. On this album, the version of "Presence Of The Lord" is commendable, but not as good as the Liberation Suite version from the album "Liberation Suite". Listen to the sample for each band before buying either one; but I think that you will prefer the Liberation Suite version. Updated Review... I found the first two albums when I searched iTunes for 'Rez Band'. All of these albums belong together iTunes - they are the same band. Please try to get "Colours" on iTunes too.

Rez Rocks

I remember when I had this album on cassette, and it's hard to find on cd. Rez has a darker sound on this album. The best songs are Silence Screams, Someone Sleeps, and You Got Me Rockin' (if you like Wendi's singing). Presence of the Lord is an Eric Clapton cover.

After a four-year hiatus, the Resurrection Band resurfaced with Awaiting Your...
