Let's Set Things Straight Here.

This is NOT the exact music from the film; it's Stanthos' remastered, re-created versions of the songs from the film. Stanthos has done an excellent job and I applaud him for his hard work. The songs are well-executed, near-perfect renditions. However, iTunes does need to fix this problem. There should be a written explanation, or some sort of alteration to the album, that explains that these are Stanton Shows' interpretations of Akira Yamaoka's music. With that said, do NOT degrade Stanthos and Silent Hell just because you don't see Akira's name upfront. It's iTunes' mistake, so don't lash out at the artist and his work for something he has no control over.

here are the details of the album

Liner Notes About the Soudtrack: I have to first give credit to Akira Yamaoka and Jeff Danna for their music for the movie. All tracks have been customized and tweaked by stanton I had an obsession with creating a soundtrack for the movie, Silent Hill(2006), since one never seemed to come out. I had no idea how I would create it, but determination was the driving force in, hopefully, 'getting it right'. After over a year of doing my best to complete it within the guidelines of the movie, I feel I have come to the end of the road for this album. thanks. The music is ONLY from the movie, but I had to remix the tracks and add some loops as well. Since a soundtrack for the movie did not come out, I was determined to make one because I adore Akira Yamaoka's music genius.

Excellent stuff but iTunes needs to adjust this title.....

This is all the chilling, ominous, and dark industrial flavored music from the film's score, but there's no way anyone is going to pay $38 for this CD. 14 of these songs are less than 2 minutes long. $.99 each? That's madness.....if iTunes makes this available as an entire album, I'll buy it, but no matter how good this eerie music is, it isnt worth $38.
