Well, I don't usually write reviews for things I don't like, but quite frankly, the only time this album should be listened to is if your completly smashed, and looking to run your sober friends out of your christmas party, or looking to get disowned. Either one would be an appropriate occasion.
Take Some & Leave Some
This album has a little bit from every major music genre except country. As with all of the albums in the "A Very Special Christmas" series, Volume 5 contains some keepers and some losers. The one track I could definitely do without is Powder's scary modern rock version of The Chipmunk's "Christmas Don't Be Late." Definitely don't play it for the kids. The best song on here, in my opinion, is "I Love You More," a live duet sung by Stevie Wonder and Kimberly Brewer. Downright beautiful, and gets you into the spirit. Dido's "Christmas Day" also ranks up high -- it's the story of a Victorian-era woman who is waiting for her beloved to keep his promise and return on Christmas Day. My recommendation is to buy the entire album, give it a listen, and delete the tracks you don't like. I'm also a big fan of Volume 3 of the "A Very Special Christmas" series.
Thanks Goodness it's for a good cause!
What were they thinking when they said it's a wrap. These are really bad, and I'm a music lover. No guys, no.
