Album Review

Tao of Healing is an "exquisite collaboration between sound healing pioneer Dean Evenson and Chinese gugin master Li Xiangting." (A gugin is a seven-stringed zither.) These like-minded spirits join their musical healing powers to create a joyous new age masterpiece. The atmospheres and sound design are largely acoustic. The very subtle synth adds an aura to the set. Evenson's flute goes to a higher plane and takes listeners along for the ride. Xiangting's zither is mesmerizing; it has qualities of a sitar with a much broader range. Scott Huckabay contributes a gentle guitar to the proceedings. This is great alternative minimalism from two musical wizards. It essential holistic new age music. This CD will appeal to fans of Steven Halpern, Lisa Lynne, Constance Demby, and Tingstad & Rumbel.

This album really coins the phrase.."truth be told"

The Tao of Healing is truly a musicall masterpiece that belongs in the digital library of any seeker of spiritual enlightenment. Dean Evenson's soothing melody combined with Chen Ling's otherworldly talent of the silver flute make this album worthy of truthful praise. Tracks "Cloud on the Mountain" and "Pond Reflecting Stars" inspire profound meditation, almost as intense as reading a novel by Dr. David Hawkins. Tracks "Deeper Forever" and "Bliss in Valley" will conjure up some of the finest memories your mind has remembered, leaving you in a state of perfect balance on your life's journey. The Tao of Healing

Even during a tempest of a unsettled child, I found peace listening to this music. Not only is it soothing to the mind and body, my soul was smiling throughout.

So soothing

I have listened to Clouds on a Mountain for everything from studying, to falling asleep on airplanes, to just plain relaxing. I find it better than classical music, or other "sleep" type songs. Really beautiful music and unique instrumentals. Highly recommended!
