Album Review

Pop-punk practitioners rarely make it to a third album without declaring some sort of newfound sensibility — they're going a little darker, say, or they're experimenting with a dancier sound. But Simple Plan stick to pretty familiar territory on album three, which maybe explains the unclever self-title: perhaps the plan for this one really is simple. The Montreal boys pound away at full speed here, cranking out a batch of short, frivolous songs that showcase Pierre Bouvier's nasal but weirdly appealing voice and one, "I Can Wait Forever," that seems to be rooted in real feeling. The whining hasn't let up (see "No Love" and "Generation"), but the fun hasn't either. Credit the producers: Timbaland's protégé Danja Hills pitches in, and so does Max Martin, a knob wizard known for shining up the songs of Kelly Clarkson and fellow Canadian Avril Lavigne.

Really Really Good!!!!

So this is really a great follow up of their last cd. I'm not going to talk about every single song, but I will about the best songs! Recommend (in order): 1) Your Love Is A Lie - 10/10 - Great song! My fave on the whole cd! It's simple-y amazing! Must buy! 2) Take My Hand - 10/10 - Love this song! The chorus is sooooo addicting! Really good! Another fave of mine on the cd! 3) The End - 9.5/10 - This song is really good. The only slight prob I have with this song is that in some parts they sound like Fall Out Boy and not Simple Plan. It's still a really good song! Other Options (in order): 1) Save You - 9/10 - I like the lyrics in this song. You can hear that he really means what he is saying. It's nice. 2) No Love - 9/10 - Another really good song. More good lyrics. It's actually a calming song after a while. Really good. 3) Holding On - 9/10 - Love this song too! It's really addicting and really nice. 4) What If - 9/10 - Really good and I like the chorus. Great Cd! Lot's of Potential!

Great Album but... confused.

I absolutely love this album. I bought it at Wal-Mart a couple days ago and have listened to it through many times. But, I'm still wondering why iTunes has an explicit version and a clean version. There's one swear word in the entire album, and it is not explicit at any other stores that sell it. I think iTunes screwed up on this one, but don't get me wrong, this album is amazing and it will blow you away. Get it.

Finally!!

i have been waiting so freakin long it seems for their new album to come out. but ya know what? it was well worth the wait!! i love every single one of their songs and it should be a definate buy for everyone!! so far my favorite songs are Your Love Is A Lie and No Love. =D hope that helped!! :)

Simple Plan is one of Canada's most successful punk-pop acts, featuring a lineup comprised of former high school pals Pierre Bouvier (vocals), Jeff Stinco (guitar), David Desrosiers (bass), Sebastien Lefebvre (guitar), and Chuck Comeau (drums).
