Editors’ Notes

From the spacious “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe,” rhythmically chaotic “Backseat Freestyle,” hypnotic “Swimming Pools (Drank),” and heart-breaking introspective “Sing About Me, I’m Dying of Thirst,” each song is grounded by the uniquely impressive and sometimes painfully relatable lyrics of Lamar. As the triumphant closer “Compton” plays with west coast pioneer Dr. Dre featured, it becomes clear that a torch is being passed to a new hip-hop great.

Best hip hop album in years

PLEASE LISTEN TO SING ABOUT ME, I'M DYING OF THIRST

Ok I bout this whole Album about 3 weeks ago. And it is still the best album I've heard in years. He's on a different level when it comes to his lyrics. Alot of his songs have meaning to then and you can really feel what he's saying. We've been listening to emotionless rap for too long. I'm tired of rappers trying to act hard. Hip hop is poetry. And in Kendrick Lamar's poetry he's telling his story. Which is why I love this album. Probably the best lyricist since Biggy

PS if you get a chance listen to the sing about me, I'm dying of thirst. Yes it's 12 min but it's probably the best song I've ever heard. YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE WHOLE THING PLEASE. Listen to what he says

What's with the re-release tho? One new track?
