an uderappreciated classic

I first started listening to the Distillers in middle school because of their association with Rancid. But I found that this album is far better than anything Rancid ever produced. Sing Sing Death House blew me away then because of the impassioned lyrics and because of Brody's distinctive voice. Even though my musical taste has drifted more toward indie rock as I've gotten older, this album is still one of my favorites. Even though Coral Fang is probably more accomplished in terms of the arrangements and the production, this album is just as catchy and listenable without losing an indisputably punk quality.

Not my favorite Distillers album, but still worth the purchase.

I'm surprised they're aren't more reviews for this album. So, I figured I'd write one myself. This is a great album from a great band. It is non-stop punk rock from the longer anxed ridden songs to the shorter songs that fly by so quickly they almost seem to be one fluid track. Highlights include Sick of it All, City of Angels, Seneca Falls and Lordy Lordy. My advice is to not only buy this album, but everything the Distillers have done.
