follows in the vein of "house with a curse"

HWAC, the record before this one, saw them slowing it down a bit, adding -for lack of a better term- "grunge" to their punishing sound. that doesn't sound very good to me on paper, but i loved it. still heavy, still fast (but slower than previous records), just catchy enough, and didn't quite sound like anything else. this record continues with that, and adds a little bit of catchy, fuzzy reverb. "love under will" is a snooze, but the rest is solid. these guys continue to lend credibility to punk/metal/rock/indie.

Their best in my opinion

If you like Coliseum's progression from another fast hardcore band to a more riff-centered, catchy super hard rock band then you'll love this record. It's easily the best rock record of 2013. J Robbin's production is perfect to capture the intensity of the band while emphasizing the melodies in the songwriting.
