The songwriter transfigures personal tragedy into growling, elemental elegies. On his latest collaboration with the Bad Seeds, Nick Cave pulls us through the gorgeous, groaning terrors of “Anthrocene” and “Jesus Alone” only to deliver us, scarred but safe, to “I Need You” and “Skeleton Tree,” a pair of tender, mournful folk ballads.

Really great album--fix last track please

I love this album. I purchased the entire album, but I can't even listen to the title track in its entirety. Please fix.

The one, the Only, the absolute

Listen to this album and tell me that Nick Cave and Warren Ellis aren't absolute musical geniuses. Anthrocene is stuck to my rib cage now, and Nick Cave is etched into my soul.

Not Good

This is the first Nick Cave album I will not be purchasing. The music is muddled horribly, the lyrics random and not well thought out. Much like his previous album, which wasn't very good either with references to Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana, oh and 72 virgins.
