The Album Leaf returns with yet another stellar album,

highlighted by "Descent" and "Skylines" in my opinion. Between "Forward/Return" and "Torey's Distraction" (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), it's time The Album Leaf receives the sweeping recognition they so richly deserve.

5 stars buuuut...

Each song is great. Album Leaf stays true to their sound. Very happy. I kind of miss the glitchy drums that Josh Eustis of Telefon Tel Aviv contributed in their earlier work.. but still a stellar album. Keep on making the beautiful jams! 5 big stars!

This guy does it again. I can't help but buy everything The Album Leaf puts out there. You won't be disappointed with this short album. Outstanding once again.

The Album Leaf is the solo project of Jimmy LaValle, a San Diego-based songwriter who began recording solo material one year after forming the post-rock band Tristeza. Inspired by a number of genres — classical, jazz, and post-rock among them — LaValle constructed his own songs in a similarly eclectic manner, utilizing everything from ambient noise to field recordings to radio transmissions.
