Customer Reviews

I really like the sound of the guitars and bass on this album compared to the first. While blah...blah...blah had more memorable songa, this makes up for it in musicianship.Riggs does solos!! and, they're pretty damn good!!

Just plain bad

This album lacks the creativty of it's first album. With a less star studded line up (now missing is System of a Down's John Dolmayan, John Tempesta from Rob Zombie and Mike Tempesta from Powerman 5000 not to mention the lesser known producers who contributed) we start to feel the monotone writing style of Mr. Riggs who was never known as anything more than a rhythmn guitarist even in his better days with Rob Zombie where he wouldnt even play half the solos at live shows. This album really digs into Rob Zombie / White Zombie rip-off mode and doesnt let up with all the songs blending together in a cocktail of bland. But worse than that this time around is the horribly sophmoric, repetitive and altoghether unimaginative lyrics. The only redeeming songs on this album are 13 Freaks with its thundering double bass-o-rama and Just Like Me an partly acoustic and altogether well written song that is catchy and lends itself lyrically to a Bride of Frankenstein scenario.

Words of advice Riggs: take your time! Loved the first album, this one seemed half-assed

Words of advice to buyers: Check out Just Like Me and 13 Freaks, other than that leave this one alone.

Awww HELL yeah

BOMBSHELL FROM HELL is a shredding monster jam. It won't cost you your soul -- just 99¢ Wicked rocknroll for fans of ROB / WHITE ZOMBIE, MURDERDOLLS -- SPOOK SHOW ACTS

The strong White Zombie/Rob Zombie influence that permeates Scum of the Earth's material is no coincidence; the alternative metal outfit is led by Riggs, an in-your-face singer, guitarist, songwriter, and producer who is best known for the six years he spent in Rob Zombie's employ. Riggs joined forces with Rob Zombie in the '90s and stayed with him into the early 2000s, eventually leaving in 2004 (when Rob Zombie was largely focusing on films rather than music) to start a project of his own.
