Customer Reviews

Finally!

Any die hard Bananarama fan has been trying to get their hands on this rare album for years and finally it hits iTunes! I've read as many reviews reviling this record as I have praising it. I like it and feel it should never have gone unnoticed for so long. I'm not a real fan of these remixes of Banarama's more recognizable hits and I HATE the retooled, "I Heard a Rumour", but the original material is brilliant, even the cover of George Michael's, "Careless Whisper", which stood as the albums sole single. I came across this by accident, intent on making a new mix for going out and was extremely pleased to have found this. A great way to start a Friday night!

Pre-Drama Goodness

I'm glad to see this post-80s Bananarama album make it to iTunes. There are several great dance tracks which are similar to the great "Drama" album, but this album features some great slow tracks. One of my all-time faves "What You Gonna Do" is on this album. A song to a lover about settling down, it shows that a mature diva knows when it's time to dance and time to go home and relax over breakfast.

Hands down the WORST Bananarama album

There is a reason this album was unreleased in 9/10ths of the world for years-it's garbage-from first note to last. I have been a Bananarama champion from day 1 and I can't even listen to this cd in one sitting. The remake of "Careless Whisper" is so ill advised and badly sung it should be excluded. The entire album is underproduced and has a "muddy" sound (like it was recorded in someone's garage studio and duped 1,000 times). While no true Rama fan should be without this for completion's sake-it is not an album that will be the centerpiece of your collection. Bad songs sung even worse.

The most successful British girl group in pop history, Bananarama formed in London in late 1981. Drawing equal inspiration for their name from the children's television program The Banana Splits and the Roxy Music song "Pyjamarama," the trio was comprised of lifelong friends Keren Woodward and Sarah Dallin along with Siobhan Fahey, whom Dallin befriended at the London College of Fashion. After getting their start singing at friends' parties and at nightclubs (where they performed accompanied by backing...
