Album Review

Evidently, Brian Setzer doesn't take the jump blues and swing of the Brian Setzer Orchestra as a joke. Dirty Boogie is his third album with his large band, and instead of sounding tired, the record is the group's best effort yet. Setzer rocks the band hard, tearing through blues and rock & roll covers with vigor, and delivering made-to-order originals that are surprisingly well crafted and memorable. Much attention will be paid to "You're the Boss," a cover of the Elvis Presley/Ann Margaret staple from Viva Las Vegas, performed as a duet with No Doubt's Gwen Stefani, but that's hardly the only highlight here — it's a swinging, rocking record that suggests Setzer's skills are only improving with time.

i started listening to this album -- i guess i must have been ten years old -- i still love the orchestra. its a great album that maintains momentum when it has to, etc etc. just buy it. the whole thing. now.

Okay...i am a teenager, and i looooove this CD! i found it in my moms "Stash" and fell in love with it instantly! it doesnt contain all the crap that todays music consists of (AKA: RAP). Brian setzer did an excellent job mixing the "Old jive" with the "new age" of music. buy this cd! Its EXCELLENT

This Album beats All

This album is one of Setzers best! He packs it full of fun songs that make you wanna get up and boggie. He balances it perfectly with slow and fast and entertaining tunes. In conclusion, this album is uber cool and owns all!
