This is true original Stoopid at its best! This is the Slightly Stoopid few new Stoopid fans know about, the fast moshing so-cal punk Stoopid. Every song on this CD is AMAZING, this CD has a very raw sound quality and is not as produced as their newer stuff, but these songs were recorded in like '96/'97 when they were 17 or 18 years old, so it's to be expected. Once you appreciate the rawness of these recordings, you'll realize this is one of Stoopid's finest CDs. With songs like Alibi's, Operation, Smoke Rasta Dub, Anti-Socialistic, and the secret track Prophet at the end of the cd, you just can't go wrong. I LOVE THIS CD AND I LOVE WATCHING ALL THE NEW UNSUSPECTING STONER STOOPID FANS GETTING EFF-ED UP TO THESE SONGS IN THE MOSH PITS... and all they came to see was a nice little reggae show... shows what they know.

Thank's Brad

I love them but...

i see how much they have grown since their old albums and i kind of like their newer sound compared to the old one....

Slightly Stoopid's Miles Doughty and Kyle McDonald were signed to Sublime mastermind Brad Nowell's Skunk imprint while still in high school, and did two albums for the label, Slightly Stoopid in 1996 and Longest Barrel Ride two years later. While the sound back then was SoCal skatepunk influenced by thrash elements and copious amounts of weed, Doughty and McDonald's playing and singing had matured considerably by 2001 and Live & Direct: Acoustic Roots. The duo was later rounded by drummer Ryan...
