Ethan Gruska - Worth Checking Out!
I had the great fortune of seeing Ethan Gruska in concert at the Union Transfer in Philadelphia on March 9th 2017. Ethan was the opening act for Agnes Obel and his was an amazing solo performance. Ethan’s songs on Slowmotionary are small masterpieces containing very poetic and beautiful chord progressions on Guitar and Keyboard, very reminiscent of Elliott Smith, Michael Penn and perhaps Julian Lennon. The dreamy minimalistic soundscape quality on this collection of songs comes as no surprise, as this album was produced by Tony Berg aka producer of some of Michael Penn’s greatest work. Some highlights on this album for me are “Time Is The Healer” and “Reoccurring Dream”. If you are a fan of singer songwriter type music, then this is worth checking out.
So gooood
