Paul Melancon's first solo album displays how painstaking he is with his music. There are few songs on the album, but each one is full of twists and undercurrents that make it re-listenable. There are heavy Jeff Lynne and Beatles influences in his vocal stylings and production choices, particularly in the title track. "Forget the Forget" tells the tale of an unrevealed trauma that is chilling. "1985 By the Get-Go's" shows Melancon's playful side, posing it as a '60s pop song about a futuristic 1985.
