Love Kathleen but...

...This program has some recording problems. The guy on the mixing board must have had a NUMBER of beers too many--not only is he jacking the audience noise as soon as Kathleen stops talking to make the laughter sound louder, but he doesn't even get the levels on her voice close to right. There's no laugh track here, but it does sound like it because of the sound guy. Also, Kathleen doesn't speak very clearly in places. It's all worth putting up with, though. I always feel better after listening to her. I enjoyed this. She's really one of my favorite comedians. I wish she'd release more recordings. If you haven't got "In Other Words" yet, though, that's the one to buy first. The material is even better, her delivery is more professional, and the quality of the recording job is much better on that one. I've subtracted one star for the production quality, but nothing personal, K.M.!

I love her and think she is so funny. I have had this album for many years, and Itunes got the release date wrong (again). but she is delightful and funny without too much profanity. it is a genuine laugh from a funny comic

Laugh Track = Buzzkill

Kathleen's previous releases/albums are replayed every few weeks - and always make us laugh out loud. She is wonderful, witty, authentic and very funny way of looking at the world. Unfortunately, someone decided to use a laugh track on this release. It is liberally and loudly inserted after most of her jokes. What a buzz kill. What a disappointment.

A journalism graduate of Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Madigan tried standup on a whim and began performing on open-mike nights around St. Louis.
